Nowadays, cartridge pulse dust collectors have been widely used in dust removal projects. It is easy to operate, can filter fine particles, and meets low concentration emission standards. If there is smoke and dust generated by welding operations in the workshop and relevant collection and treatment measures are not taken, the generated smoke and dust need to be collected and reduced. A cartridge dust collector is a very suitable choice.

1. Working principle of cartridge pulse dust collector

Dirty air (shown in dark red) is collected through the suction port and enters the filter. On the opposite side is the air guide plate, which is used to change the direction of the air flow so that the air flows upward into the filter chamber to avoid direct impact on the filter element. The filtered clean air (blue part) is filtered and separated by the filter cartridge, and then discharged to the outside through noise reduction, thus completing the entire filtration process. Under the automatic cleaning function of the filter element, it falls into the dust collector for collection.

2. Structure of cartridge pulse dust collector


(1) The cartridge-type pulse dust collector consists of a body, a filter cartridge, an ash hopper, a fan, and a dust cleaning device.


(2) The upper and lower chambers are compact in structure


(3) The air inlet is equipped with a diversion device to protect the filter element from damage by large particles.


(4) The design is based on the settlement principle, which facilitates dust settlement and maintenance.


(5) Small structure, high efficiency filtration and separation accuracy.


(6) It has good air permeability and lower air resistance than ordinary filters.


(7) Dust cleaning is easy and automatic cleaning ensures the continuity and high efficiency of production.


(8) The dust collection container is easy to assemble and disassemble, and is connected and sealed with the filter funnel.


(9) No dust leakage; and a dust exhaust valve is installed to facilitate the vacuum cleaner to clean dust during operation.

3. Characteristics of cartridge pulse dust collector


(1) High dust collection efficiency


Using filter elements, the cartridge pulse dust collector has high filtration efficiency at the beginning of filtration and becomes unstable. When the filtration state starts, the dust on the surface of the filter material penetrates into the filter material, creating a primary filter layer. When the filter layer is produced, the filter material is in a stable state, and the filter material after filtration, backwashing, and backwashing reaches a higher dust removal efficiency.


(2) The pressure loss does not change much.


Pressure loss is related to the processing air volume, dust concentration, dust properties and dust particle size. After the primary filter layer is formed, the backwash mechanism of the cartridge pulse dust collector can instantly backwash and shake off dust during normal operation, with small and stable pressure loss.


(3) Large processing capacity.

(4) Suitable for occasions with high dust concentration.


The pulse backwash cartridge pulse dust collector is suitable for dust treatment with a dust concentration of 0.05 ~ 10 kg/cubic meter. When used in places with high dust concentration, the cyclone or sedimentation tank can be omitted and the pulse backwash dust collector can be used for direct treatment.
